The Opportunity
Due to recent success in the commercialisation of research, the organisation is in a fortunate position of having funds to re-invest. It has developed an ambitious strategy and as a result, an additional lawyer is needed for the central London legal team to provide dedicated legal support. Responsibilities will include implementing the new strategy and honouring investment commitments. This will require leading on IP and general commercial contracts as well as corporate/spin out advice where companies are created using seed funding. The role will lead on key contracts with partners and managing these relationships.
You will support the organisation on a wide range of matters specifically focusing on the research, development and commercialisation of new and ongoing research. The work will be varied and will involve drafting and reviewing licensing agreements and other agreements relating to research and medical development as well as wider activities of the organisation.
About You
This is a unique opportunity for a lawyer with life sciences experience to join with an innovative, forward-thinking organisation with an excellent reputation and keen dedication to its cause. The ideal candidate will have life sciences knowledge, ideally around the commercialisation of IP, licensing of assets and some patents experience within a life sciences context. A science background would be welcome. However, broader healthcare experience or medical devices would also be well-utilised.
