The Opportunity
The business is busy and with a new General Counsel having joined earlier this year, the team is growing. The business is looking for a commercial lawyer to provide dedicated legal support to its core business areas. You will draft and negotiate a wide variety of commercial contracts. You will advise on company law matters as well as other areas such as competition, IP, tech and data privacy. You will also liaise with the healthcare legal team, ensuring strategy and risk are managed at all times. The business is private equity owned and you will need to liaise with the private equity company on a regular basis.
As part of a small but well-integrated legal team, you will have direct exposure to senior management from day one.
What We Need
You will need a general commercial contracts background ideally gained in-house, although commercial experience in private practice will also be considered. Procurement experience is also key, as is any experience in the healthcare industry or an interest in the healthcare sector. Strong interpersonal skills, a commercial approach and can-do attitude are all key. Excellent communication skills and the ability to navigate sensitively through highly complex matters are also essential.
