About the Opportunity
It’s rare for a consumer business to need an in-house M&A lawyer and even more unusual at the Head of Legal position – this opportunity is the exception. The role will be responsible for corporate transactions, negotiating and leading on M&A activity and reporting to senior management on the progress of M&A matters. Perhaps even of more importance will be your role of managing corporate partnerships, looking at potential partners for the business which may add value or be a an excellent addition for the aspirations and values of the business.
You will manage a senior corporate lawyer and external law firm relationships and you will work closely with the corporate strategy team and the Board.
About You
A strong M&A background is key, with in-house experience in a consumer, tech or related industry being almost essential. Previous experience in partnerships work is also key, as is extensive experience engaging with senior stakeholders. A mindset which is aligned with transformation and being agile is also key, as the business continues to evolve and develop and invest in business practices which best suit the needs of its consumers.
